ABOUT CHRISTINE D'ADDARIO:
“My goal is to convey the alluring character of Long Island’s East end while subtly communicating my perceptions about relationships and my own life experience. I also wish for the viewer to have a deep personal connection within their own memories of past, present and future.”
Award winning artist, Christine D’Addario, is from Long Island, NY. She was educated at The College of Saint Rose, where she received her BFA in Graphic Design. She worked at D’Addario and Company, Inc. from 2001-2008, growing from Graphic Designer to Art Director. Christine worked as Art Director, for just shy of 10 years, designing advertising, custom packaging and media materials for the Long Island family owned music accessories business D’Addario & Company, Inc. She has created numerous ads, brochures, catalogs, packaging, posters, tradeshow graphics, logos etc…
After giving birth to her twin girls, Christine was inspired to transition back into fine art.
CHRISTINE D'ADDARIO’S WORK:
“I am currently focusing my graphic design knowledge and artistic training toward my true passion - oil painting, a love affair that began at the age of five and will hopefully never end.”
My paintings are derived from my photography or plein air (painting on site).
Christine adores painting in oils, starting from the young age of five she has now combined her experience and skills to create colorful, carefully composed, and graphic figurative coastal scenes. Her goal is to convey the alluring character of Long Island’s East End. Christine paints year round in her studio, located in the Bailey Arboretum Estate, Lattingtown, NY.
